Disney Villain Emoji

At one time Disney had a scholarship opportunity requesting illustrations of Disney characters to look like emojis, featuring a specific emotion. The choice of which character and which emotion were completely up to the creative! I chose to do a the popular Disney villain, Cruella from "100 Dalmations" with a confused expression.

The inspiration of this expression comes from a movie scene where Cruella is confused wondering where the puppies went. I felt I could get more creative with this expression, rather than doing something obvious such as "happy" or "angry". It surprised me how the most subtle change of the mouth shape or eyebrow height would completely change the expression!

Background graphics were not required, but I decided it was only fitting to add a dalmation print for this particular character. Although I didn't win the scholarship, I enjoyed creating this just for fun!
